Dr Eleni Loukianou was born and raised in Limassol.
She graduated from the Medical School of Athens University and during the whole length of her studies, she was a scholar at the State Scholarships Foundation (SSF) in Greece.

Retinal Artery Occlusion
Retinal artery occlusion is the blockage of blood flow to the main artery of the retina or its branches.
The main predisposing factors are:
- Diabetes
- High blood pressure
- Hyperlipidemia (High levels of cholesterol in the blood)(IHC)

- Blurred vision
- Pain
- floaters
- Redness of the eye
Keratoconus
Keratoconus is a bilateral corneal disease which occurs at a rate of approximately 1 in 2000 people. It is characterized by gradual thinning of the cornea resulting in forward deformation taking the shape of a cone.
Symptoms:
- Increased sensitivity to light
- Difficulty driving at night
- Intolerance of soft contact lenses
- Headaches and general eye pain
- Excessive rubbing of the eyes
